Louisville Bats, September 1-3, Louisville Slugger Field
Our Louisville Bats, a Triple-A baseball affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, will be concluding their season over Labor Day weekend as they play the Indianapolis Indians away on September 1, and home on September 2-3. Buy tickets by visiting their website.
Worldfest, August 31 – September 3, Waterfront Park
WorldFest is one of the region’s largest international festivals and includes four days of world food, live music, dance, culture and education to kick off this year’s Labor Day weekend. Now in its 16thyear, Worldfest brings food, crafts and entertainment from all over the world to downtown Louisville.
Walk to End Alzheimer’s Louisville, September 8, Waterfront Park
The Louisville walk attracts thousands of participants each year who raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, it is the nation’s largest fundraising event for Alzheimer’s care.
Kentucky Bourbon Festival, September 12-16, Kentucky Bourbon Festival Inc.
Celebrating all things bourbon, the Kentucky Bourbon Festival draws 50,000 visitors from all around the world. Stop by for barrel races, musical performances and curated dinners all week long.
Kentucky Kick Down, September 14, Louisville Turners
Now in its sixth year, the Kentucky Kick Down is the region’s premier vintage motorcycle festival featuring hundreds of vintage bikes, live music, food trucks, swimming, bowling, vendors and a charity ride to benefit Home of the Innocents. Get more details on their website.
The Early Bird Holiday Market, September 15, Revolution Church of Louisville
Live music, food trucks and 50+ vendors will be at this year’s Early Bird Holiday Market. Get your holiday deals early, shop local and browse handcrafter, homemade and original designs that make the perfect holiday gifts.
Danger Run, September 22, Locations in Louisville
It’s The Most Fun You’ve EVER Had in Your Car®! Solve clues and navigate your way through two haunted houses resulting in a thrilling Halloween experience!
Down Syndrome of Louisville Steps to Independence Walk/Run, September 29, Big Four Run
This walk is Down syndrome Louisville’s largest fundraiser and helps grows programs and services for their members in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Celebrate the lives of individuals with Down syndrome and their accomplishments by supporting or participating in this event.
