Lights Under Louisville, through December 31, Louisville Mega Cavern
Join us for our annual underground holiday light spectacular to put you in the holiday spirit! Riders enjoy a 30-minute tour through part of our 17-mile passageway, featuring over 850 lit characters and over 3,000,000 points of light.
A Christmas Story, through December 2, Whitney Hall at The Kentucky Center
This new musical is based on the classic 1983 movie about Ralphie Parker’s desperate quest to ensure that his most perfect present ends up under his tree on Christmas.
Louisville Cardinals Basketball, throughDecember 29, KFC YUM! Center
Come out and support the women’s and men’s Louisville Cardinal’s basketball teams this month at the KFC YUM! Center! Game dates, times and tickets are available on their website:
13thAnnual YMCA Reindeer Ramble, December 8, Keeneland Race Course
Grab your favorite holiday sweater, Santa suit or festive attire and walk or run in the Reindeer Ramble’s 5K or 10K! Proceeds support scholarships for kids attending YMCA summer camps. Register as an individual, or as a team of three to 10 linked together with garland or ribbon through the entire race! Get the details here.
Elfapalooza, December 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, Galt House Hotel
Santa’s workshop will be in full throttle at the Galt House Hotel! Meet Santa’s elves, see a holiday movie, take a ride on the Peppermint Express, snack on appetizers and hot chocolate, and adults can enjoy an adult beverage. Cakes with Kris Kringle, December 8 & 15, Kentucky Derby Museum
Enjoy the spirit of the season with photos with Santa, story time with Mrs. Claus, a Santa hat-making workshop, a hot chocolate bar and unlimited pancakes!
8thAnnual Give a Jam to End Homelessness, December 20, Headliners
Embrace the season of giving by attending this event that benefits the Coalition for the Homeless. Enjoy performances by local musicians and artists, soups and stews for sale, a bourbon basket raffle and a cash bar. Visit their website for a list of performers and artists and to purchase tickets.
Christmas Eve Plated Dinner and Christmas Day Brunch Buffet, December 24, 25, Galt House Hotel
If you don’t feel like cooking or washing dishes on Christmas or Christmas Eve, consider special holiday meals at the RIVUE Restaurant & Lounge. Christmas Eve features a seasonal farm-to-table plated dinner with three courses. The Christmas Day buffet features a carving station with premium condiments, a pasta station, and seasonal favorites. Dancing Through the Decades New Year’s Eve Party, December 31, Galt House Hotel
